Ally is a lifelong Alaskan, born in Ketchikan and raised in Fairbanks. She has always maintained a strong connection to the outdoors. Camping, fishing, hiking, berry picking, and exploring Alaska with family were integral parts of her childhood. While she still enjoys many of these activities today, she also spends her time gardening and walking trails with her spouse and dogs.

Ally is part of the SalmonState team after working in several industries, including tourism, marketing, and real estate management & development. She is excited to bring her experience to support SalmonState's mission. Ally is passionate about preserving the places and resources that make Alaska unique and ensuring they remain healthy for generations to come.

If you could have any superpower, what would it be?

I've always wanted the ability to talk to animals. I'd love to know what they are thinking, understand how they see the world, and hear what they have to say about us!

What’s your favorite wild Alaskan food?

Highbush cranberries are my favorite wild food. Some of my fondest memories are of picking them with my family and turning them into homemade cranberry jelly. I love the combination of tart and sweet, although it's definitely an acquired taste.
