SalmonState calls on Alaskan leaders to seize the opportunity offered in Biden’s American Jobs Plan

HOMER—President Joe Biden today outlined a plan that could inject major amounts of new federal money into Alaska’s economy and establish a much stronger economic future for the state. Alaska is not only at the forefront of climate change, but is positioned to lead in establishing a path forward.

“No matter where you are on the political spectrum, I hope all Alaskans can agree that we want a stronger, more stable and resilient economy and a brighter, better future,” said SalmonState Executive Director Tim Bristol. “The choice is ours — we can embrace this once-in-a-generation opportunity or we can stick our heads in the sand and play the partisan political game of division and denial. This infrastructure package provides not only the roadmap for a better future for Alaska, it provides the means to get there. We are calling on our leaders to seize the moment, not run from it.”
