Lindsey Bloom, Campaign Strategist
Born and raised in Juneau, Alaska, campaign strategist Lindsey Bloom is a second generation Bristol Bay gillnet captain. She fished there for over a decade before anchoring down in Southeast Alaska with her husband and two young children to continue their salmon fishing business in a more family-friendly fishery. With an M.A. in Management and Sustainable Development, Lindsey has worked with Alaska fishermen, fishing organizations, tribal organizations, businesses, and nonprofits. Her focus has been on young fishermen and fish habitat policy. Fishing, organizing Alaskans, and raising a young family of Alaskan hunter-fisher-gardener-foragers keep Lindsey busy on and off the water all year.
If you could have any superpower, what would it be?
To never need sleep during an Alaskan summer.
What’s your favorite wild Alaskan food?
Anything in the mushroom family because they are the harbinger of my favorite season, fall, when in Alaska we finally get to sleep!
